IGU Regional Conference - Krakow, Poland 2014

The theme of the conference is CHANGES (that can observe in both natural and human systems, significantly influencing the present and future well-being of societies), CHALLENGES (that modern geography faces as its aim is to support citizens in better understanding the world we live in), RESPONSIBILITY (for the future of our world).

During the Conference Commission on Climatology arranged
9 sessions covering broad range of topics:

- Climate change and variability in different spatial and temporal scales
- Weather and climate extremes
- Historical climatology
- Climate modeling and scenarios
- Polar and mountain climates
- Urban climates
- Atmospheric circulation in different scales
- GIS and remote sensing in atmospheric sciences
- Climate change impacts and vulnerability

The CoC sessions are intended to be held during only two days of the Conference. Number of session slots and the detailed timetable will be known in mid-February 2014.
